MISSION FOR POVERTY ALLEVIATION
MOCET-VOLUNTEERS is a group of fellows in MISSIONARY ORGANIZATION FOR CHILD EDUCATION
AND TRAINING volunteering to help the extremely poor people within our
communities with our collective contribution to the glory of God. This vision
was prompted by the revelation we received from Deut. 15 vs. 11; “…you shall open your hand wide to your
brother, to your poor and your needy in the land.” We
believe that if everyone can give a block, we can build many houses for those
who lack shelter.
The
target of MOCET in this project is
to raise ONE-MILLION MOCET-VOLUNTEERS. These are career, business men and
women, business organizations who will be sacrificially committed to donating a
minimum of N1000 every month to the
NGO for “FEED, EDUCATE POOR CHILD (FEPC) PROJECTS”
of the organization in fulfillment of the mission of the organization which is
poverty alleviation. The group locates numerous families who are in dire lack
of basic human needs around our immediate communities and support them with
food items and enroll their children into good schools. We discovered that the
best gift you can give to the poor is to educate him to discover and maximize
his internal deposit. We don’t just give the poor fish to eat; we teach them
how to fish so that they can be part of the help to others in dire need. That
is why our focus is on education and training. “MOCET-VOLUNTEERS” share food items to extremely poor families and
pay school fees for their children with the agenda of fulfilling the law of
Christ which are the seven foundation of Christianity.
There
is great reward for every spiritual exercise. We have a promise in Proverbs 11 vs. 25; “The one who blesses
others is abundantly blessed; those who help others are helped (MSG). We
strongly believe in this promise from God’s word. The more we become a
blessing, the more we get blessed. We are blessed to be a blessing. S & L
